Sedation

Nitrous:

Nitrous oxide sedation, also known as "laughing gas," is commonly used to make treatment more comfortable. The nitrous oxide is inhaled through a mask and produces a state of relaxation. Local anesthetic will be administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide to eliminate pain. Nitrous oxide is designed to make procedures easier for nervous patients and has been effective for many years.

General Anesthesia:

Young children with dental pain and/or infection can require treatment, which sometimes may not be best in the traditional dental setting. Sometimes that means your child will need to go under a general anesthesia. Under general anesthesia, your child will be completely asleep and pain free. Specially-trained anesthesia professionals will administer medications and monitor your child while the dentist performs the dental procedure. The goal is always to provide the safest, most pain-free treatment.
